Becky and Alex are among the finest people I know; I was super excited to see the lovable duo when they invited me for dinner. Thinking back to when I stayed with Becky one summer at University, I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m a bit of a stray; I’ve stayed in 14 houses in five years and spent the past 17 months without a permanent address. Becky and I worked a summer job together and I was introduced to a heap of great people through the two of them.

Eager to hear all of their stories, I listened tentatively as each snippet made me smile.  Alex prepared a Coupe Stack and proceeded to unload an entire bottle of sparkling wine upon the tower of glasses; I’d never experienced this first hand before. I found it quite amusing trying to carefully lift a glass without breaking the meniscus whilst simultaneously overcoming the suction that had formed between the base and glass below.

I was also lucky to catch Harriet, Oscar and Abi. Oscar was kind enough to treat us to Overtone (throat) singing which he’d become interested in. Coincidentally, I’d also fallen in love with Tuvan throat singing and would recommend listening to the master, Batzorig Vaanchig; he’s majestic.
