Getting from Kosovo into Serbia isn't always the easiest of tasks. If you haven't visited Serbia before Kosovo and cross the border without a Serbian stamp or valid visa you are entering illegally; one of the consequences of Serbia not recognising Kosovo as a sovereign state. If you do you can be detained and I'm sure it wouldn't be a fun day. In recent times people have had the Kosovan stamps in their passport doctored to effectively rewrite your history, reading that you were never there. I figured the easiest solution was to take a bus to Rozaje in Montenegro near the border to Kosovo and Serbia in order to receive a Montenegrin stamp; from Rozaje it is quite easy to enter.
Stepping off the bus in Rozaje I figured I'd head to the centre whilst I waited for my connection. Rozaje is a rather lovely little city with a wide open town square and I'm sure would be a great place to have a break for a few days. The square is full of bars, cafés and places for sustenance; sitting in the sunshine there was rather pleasant.
I was very curious to see if the border guard would change my stamps but nothing came of it. Over time I imagine these things dissipate.
