Day 360 Ohrid, Macedonia

The bulk of my day consisted of short blacks and Negronis sitting in a bar which overlooked the lake with a pen in my hand. On the go almost everyday you have to slow things down, for me writing and reading are perfect; you may have noticed as these summaries seem to be getting longer.

From yesterday's hassle I just wanted to chill. I was reading in the hostel when a new guest arrived, I wasn't quite in the mood for talking but I'm so glad that I struck up a conversation. Nico had been on the road for 6 years if I remember correctly, he was incredibly interesting and we very quickly delved into real conversations. It's easy to make small talk and speak on the standard topics but we very quickly bypassed this and had the kind of conversation where you lose perception of time and nothing else in the room exists. It's rare to find someone that within five minutes challenges you; where you really have to think and consider what you want to convey before speaking.

I also saw the fantastic Brandon from Washington again who had left Tirana before me and travelled to Ohrid. We didn't manage to speak long as he was off to Bitola, a nearby city.
