Day 344 Budva to Podgorica

I wasn't really feeling Budva, I probably missed something but to me it felt like another beach town and the day was enough. It was very popular with Russian tourists most likely due to the relations between the Former Yugoslavia and Soviet Republic.

There is interesting history in the area and more further out from the city. A few statues like this bronze of 'The Ballerina' can be found dotted around the city and coast. Crafted by Belgrade artists Gradimir Aleksic the inspiration for the creation of 'Ballerina' was a girl who waited for her love to return from the sea; however the sailor did not and one day the girl was found deceased on the rock. So the legend goes.

Next up was Podgorica, a peculiar capital. I arrived as the sun was setting and had contracted some kind of illness meaning I needed to rest. I'd have to explore the following day.
