The Metropol Parasol claims the title of the largest timber structure in the world measuring at 150x70x26m. Designed by German architect Jürgen Mayer it was completed after six years in April 2011 and looks tickety-boo. I love it, it kind of makes me hungry from the honeycomb or waffle resemblance.
