Friends came to join me for a small stretch through Spain and to participate in pelting strangers with tomatoes at the decadent La Tomatina. With tomatoes in every orifice people hose you down in the streets of Buñol, creating a calf-deep river of passata. After the battle everyone proceeds to the river to de-sauce and the smarter ones go up stream.
